As a family of three it's very easy for us to tag-team, so to speak. I'm with Gerrick all day, then after dinner Rick and Gerrick do their thing while I do mine. It's a very nice routine for the most part, but we probably should focus on making an effort to do things together more often than we do. So, tonight we all had a great time playing Gerrick's new favorite game, Monopoly Jr. :)

Ha! I am also super-guilty of tag-team parenting. My husband comes home too late for an activity on a weeknight, but you've inspired me to be more proactive about a weekend evening activity. Thanks!
Monopoly has been one of the games we've learned to play this summer. Played today, actually.
other games we like: uno & yatzee.
We LOVE Monopoly Junior. We have the Disney Princess edition. =)

Monopoly Jr is a good game...so is Uno.
We also have a Scrabble Jr game that is lots of fun.
Homemade pizza and a movie is our standard "fun night." Or sometimes we will do board games (Hi-Ho Cherry-O or Go Fish are our faves!). Or sometimes we do something like make cookies (the kids help make the dough, then we cut it out and decorate it).
Cool. Our family needs to play more games together. Good idea!
I am sad to say that dad will probably only be joining us once every other week. We had family fun Sunday today! I guess we can do our family fun any day and share it on Fridays... H was gone on Friday night this week!
